Few years ago, when I was between kid and teenager, I took part at a « French writing contest ». I was 12.
Since, I sometimes write, but not as seriously as I when I wrote this novel (as far as I remember, it was a 6000 worlds and the subject was « Le Duel »).
And a few days ago, Bertrand, whom I’m a super fan proposed to his audience the #NaNoWriMo contest ( https://votrecoachweb.com/445-action-minimum-viable ). First I was about to re-write this first novel… but what a good Idea it would be to « joindre l’utile à l’agréable » by supporting more and more my friend Fanja, that is willing an Olympics qualification for Tokyo’s 2020 Marathon than telling her story? By doing this, if she like my story, she will may be able to share her story with medias and grab more supporters/patrons for her crowdfunding campaign.

The title
The synopsis
Je suis née et j’ai grandit à Madagascar. Ce pays insulaire connu pour sa faune et sa flore endémique est aussi surnommé « l’Île Rouge » en référence à la terre, couleur brique, imprégnée de fer et de soleil. A quelques heures de la fin de ma carrière, je me rappelle ce qui a façonné ma vie : l’aptitude développée pour la Course à Pied, en grandissant sur les hauts-plateaux Malgaches et en foulant cette terre rouge qui m’a conduite à franchir une dernière fois une ligne d’arrivée, sur une piste en tartan … rouge !
How the book starts
Boum boum … boum boum … boum boum … ce bruit – qui berce le premier jet de mes cellules depuis la rencontre entre un spermatozoïde et un ovule géniteurs – s’affole.
Ce pays n’a jamais aussi bien porté son nom. « Le pays du soleil levant » … Nous avons toutes pris le départ, bien avant l’aube pour éviter les chaleurs écrasantes prévues pour cette journée mémorable pour la centaine d’athlètes féminines alignées au départ.
Après 41 kilomètres et quelques centaines de mètres, je m’apprête à traverser l’enceinte du mythique stade olympique de Tokyo pour fouler ce tartan … rouge …
